28-year-old De'Mario Monte Thornton (a.k.a. Raz-B of B2K) was sent to the hospital last Thursday after being hit in the face with a glass bottle at a Chinese nightclub during a performance. After being released, he was brought back the next day after he could not be woken up. Doctors are testing for brain activity, and his condition remains serious.
Reports say that Thornton was struck by the glass bottle while he was trying to break up a fight that started in the middle of his show. He underwent minor surgery after being brought to the police station along with his attacker for questioning.
Raz-B is the founding member of R&B group B2K, producing hits "Bump, Bump, Bump" and "Uh Huh" with singers Omarion, Lil' Fizz, and J-Boog. Since the group's breakup in 2004, Raz-B has released a mixtape and has been touring in China while working on a solo project.
