The world welcomed the newest addition to the royal family at 4:24 pm BST. Palace officials confirmed the arrival of His Royal Highness the Prince of Cambridge, weighed in at 8 lbs. 6 oz. Officials confirmed that Mom Kate Middleton and baby are doing great and should be released from the hospital later today. Prince William said in a statement “We could not be happier.” The name of the Prince of Cambridge will be released “in due course.” That title has not been used for 100 years. The baby boy is 3rd in line to the British throne after Prince Charles and William.
“Law & Order” star Dennis Farina, best known for his role as Det. Joe Fontana on the series, passed away in Scottsdale, Arizona yesterday. He suffered a blood clot in his lung. He was 69-years-old. Dennis spent 18 years working as a police officer in Chicago before becoming an actor. He is survived by his three children, six grandchildren and of his partner of 35 years Marianne Cahill.
Lady Antebellum‘s lead singer Hillary Scott and her husband, drummer Chris Tyrrell are the proud parents of a baby girl. Eisele Kaye Tyrrell was born yesterday in Nashville and weighed in at 7 lbs., 13 oz. Her name is pronounced Eyes-lee, it’s a combination of Chris’ mothers maiden name and Hillary’s mom’s middle name (Kaye). This is their first child and they were married in January 2012 during an intimate ceremony in Upstate New York
