Pink named Billboard's Woman of the Year!

Billboard just gave Pink an honor! She’s been named Woman of the Year for 2013. Pink’s latest album The Truth About Love earned her a Grammy nomination will accept the award at the 2013 Billboard Women in Music event in NYC December 10th.

Dancing with the Stars season 17 premiere had some stunning performances. Glee’s Amber Riley landed the near-perfect score of 27 out of 30. Earning three nines, Riley's dance with Derek Hough had Bruno Tolioni calling the Glee actress the "tigress of season 17." Fellow judge Len Goodman said excitedly, "I'm palpitating, perspirating and flatulating."  Bill Nye took the evening's lowest ranking, with a mere 14 points out of 30 for his science-themed cha cha with partner Tyne Stecklein. A Britney Spears Las Vegas residency has been rumored since January, and now the deal will be announced today. She's expected to be doing 90-minute shows at Planet Hollywood's PH Live on alternating weekends and she'll be doing a total of 48 shows per year for two years. Britney will pull down $310,000 per show, for a total of almost $30 million by the time she's done. Organizers are reportedly planning a more intimate, "club-like" vibe for the show, as opposed to a more typical Vegas production. Britney will start in December!

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called off their engagement. Us Weekly sources say “Liam and Miley are completely done and broken up. She wants nothing to do with him, and vice versa. It’s bad.” He was reportedly upset with Miley’s racey VMA performance with her tongue and twerking. He’s hot!

This Sunday, the Emmy Awards will pay tribute to actors who passed away this year. Sopranos star James Gandolfini and Cory Monteith will receive special recognition because of their sudden deaths shocking the entire nation,. The cast of Glee will be on stage to honor their late cast mate. Three other TV stars will also receive special tributes Jean Stapleton, Gary David Goldberg and Jonathan Winters

Mark Wahlberg finally graduated high school. The 42-year-old received his diploma in June and says his four children were a big motivation for hitting the books. Wahlberg, who had a troubled childhood and dropped out in the ninth grade being charged with attempted murder, says getting his diploma is "a huge accomplishment." The most challenging part for Wahlberg, who took online classes, hired a tutor and studied between takes on the set of Two Guns, but kept it a secret from his costar Denzel Washington. Now that Wahlberg has his diploma, he's hoping to further his education. Way to go Mark!

New York City Opera opens its season with the U.S. premiere of Anna Nicole Smith. The opera is based on the flamboyant life and tragic death of Anna Nicole. Opening night tonight at BAM Howard Gilman Opera House (30 Lafayette Avenue,Brooklyn) 7:30 tonight. Get tickets here!
