Bloomberg: Stop-and-Frisk Vote is 'Election Year Politicking'

City Council voted Thursday to override Mayor Bloomberg's vetoes of stop-and-frisk bills. Bloomberg was on "The John Gambling Show" Friday to respond to the council's decision, which will result in the passing of two bills that scale back the authorities of the stop-and-frisk program.

Bloomberg said he was not surprised that the city council voted to override his vetoes, but their decision was "election year politicking rather than common sense in terms of what's right for the city."
