City Council is considering a bill that would increase the age to buy cigarettes from 18 to 21. City Council Speaker Christine Quinn and Dr. Thomas Farley announced the bill recently and the city health commissioner joined John Gambling on WOR 710 Thursday morning to talk about the new proposal. The new bill is just the latest public health measure initiated during Mayor Bloomberg’s tenure.
