Mayor Bloomberg Reportedly Tells NYC Taxi CEO: 'I'll Destroy Your [Expletive] Industry'

According to the New York Post, Mayor Bloomberg was not happy after Taxi Club Management CEO Gene Friedman won a court case against Bloomberg's proposed fleet of hybrid taxis called the "Taxi of Tomorrow." Bloomberg allegedly cursed out the city's taxi CEO during last Thursday's New York Knicks playoff game.

A judge ruled that Mayor Bloomberg couldn't replace the city's cabs with new hybrid vehicles because it violated city code. Bloomberg reportedly became very angry after seeing Friedman the day after the ruling at Madison Square Garden, telling Freidman, "Come January 1st, when I am out of office, I am going to destroy your f--king industry."

“He was very angry, very scary, very violent in a non-physical way," Friedman told the Post. "He was grinding his teeth, he was spitting, he was red, and he was in my face."

The New York Post reports that Friedman's lawyers asked MSG to keep any video of the incident.
