A truck accident Monday morning is causing some major traffic problems for commuters using the George Washington Bridge. According to the NY Post, a Port Authority spokesman said a truck carrying steel beams hit a toll booth jarring some of the beams loose. The toll booth is said to have suffered damage.
The accident occurred just before 11am, where five lanes were initially closed on the inbound side of the GWB's upper deck. The NY Post reports that one lane has since been reopened, but as of this afternoon, there is no word on when the other lanes will reopen.
